Real Madrid will announce a new contract for Marco Asensio this week until 2023 with a €500m buyout clause inserted, say reports in Spain.
The club will announce the deal officially after their Champions League group-stage clash with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday, according to Diario AS.
The forward’s current deal is set to expire in June 2020 but he is now set to follow Marcelo, Isco, Dani Carvajal, Karim Benzema and Marcos Llorente in committing their long-term futures to Los Blancos.
Asensio, 21, has been afforded rising prominence in Madrid’s first team this calendar year and has been afforded increasing game-time ahead of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema.
