A spectacular strike from Chema Rodriguez put Levante on their way to an impressive 3-0 victory over Real Sociedad, which moved them into fifth.
Chema opened the scoring just before half-time with a sensational left-footed volley from 20 yards out, which flew into the top corner past Geronimo Rulli.
Jose Luis Morales doubled the newly-promoted side’s advantage 15 minutes from time, converting a penalty that he won.
Former Real Madrid defender Diego Llorente was then dismissed for the visitors for a second bookable offence, before Enis Bardhi (pictured) put the icing on the cake for the Valencians with a pinpoint free kick.
Levante have now moved above La Real in the standings and travel to Real Betis on Monday night, while the Basques host Valencia on Sunday.
