Camarasa aims for ‘fortress’ Villamarin

Real Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa believes the Estadio Benito Villamarin will be a ‘fortress’ this season with few visiting sides getting any joy.

The 23-year-old was signed in the summer from Levante after impressing last season on loan at Alaves and has helped his side to home wins over Celta Vigo and Deportivo La Coruna.

“Securing three points on Saturday was important, we always aim to make our fans happy,” Camarasa is quoted as telling Estadio Deportivo.

“We must try and make Estadio Benito Villamarin a fortress – a venue which no visiting team will enjoy coming to and which few win any points.

“Of course we aim for winning every match both at home and away but the fans here are so special it makes it extra intimidating for opposition teams.

“To have six points from six available at home is a strong start and we aim to continue on this course.”
