Carrico extends Sevilla stay

Daniel Carrico has extended his contract at Sevilla by a further two years until June 2020, the club has officially confirmed.

The Portuguese defender has appeared on 112 occasions for Los Rojiblancos since joining the club, initially on a loan deal, from Reading in 2013.

Alongside Nico Pareja, the 29-year-old is the joint longest-serving player in the Andalucian’s club and has won three successive Europa League titles and reached a Copa Del Rey final in his spell.

Carrico has netted six goals for Sevilla and has previously enjoyed stints at Sporting CP, AEL Limassol and Reading, whilst he has been capped at international level by Portugal.
