Controversy marred the end of Madrid’s game against Levante as Marcelo was shown a straight red card for kicking Jefferson Lerma while both players were down in the Valencians’ box.
“Another draw? It’s something we didn’t want, but we can only learn from our mistakes and move forward,” the winger said after the match.
“Mistakes? We didn’t have that final ball to create chances, Levante defended very well.
“Missing a striker? Another player who can play there is Cristiano, he’s already missed four games and that’s too much.
“Referees? I don’t like to talk about them. The fans can make their own minds up because they can see things from the outside.”
