Jose Antonio Reyes has confirmed he is set to join Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua as a free agent.
The 34-year-old left Espanyol at the end of last season after one year at the club and will now link up with Carlos Tevez, Obafemi Martins, Freddy Guarin and Demba Ba at the Chinese side.
The forward, who netted four goals in 23 appearances for the Catalan club last season, will now be managed by former Real Betis Coach Gus Poyet who’s side currently sit 11th in China’s top flight.
Reyes enjoyed two stints at his boyhood club Sevilla alongside spells with Arsenal and Benfica abroad, whilst he also represented Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in a distinguished career.
