Rico reveals Milan offer

Sevilla goalkeeper Sergio Rico has revealed Milan made him ‘a very good offer’ before he penned a new two-year contract extension in Andalusia.

There were strong rumours over summer that Rossoneri goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma would leave the club and it now appears they had been lining up the shot-stopper from Los Rojiblancos as a replacement.

“Milan made me a very good offer, but Sevilla proposed a contract renewal,” Rico told El Descuento de El Correo TV.

“My head is here and my goal was always to continue.”

Rico, who has made 71 La Liga appearances for Sevilla, now has a deal that will run until June 2021 with a reported release clause of €40m.
