Barca ‘believe in Arda exit’

Barcelona are reportedly hopeful of shipping Arda Turan back to Galatasaray next week.

According to Mundo Deportivo, there should be enough time for Arda to return to his native Turkey as their transfer window does not shut until 22:00 BST next Friday.

The newspaper explains Gala have been working on a deal to bring back the 30-year-old since July.

The midfielder is expected to depart on a loan basis as the Istanbul side are unwilling to cover his salary and pay a transfer fee, while he does not want to take a salary cut.

However, Barca would be happy with a season-long arrangement as it would allow them to sell him for a higher fee if he has a successful campaign back home.

Arda won a Turkish League title with Gala between 2005 and 2011, before joining Atletico Madrid, where he lifted the Europa League, Copa del Rey and La Liga.

He moved to Barca for a potential €41m two years ago but failed to establish himself in their first team, despite a Primera crown and 19 goals in 53 appearances.
