Valencia split over Nani future

Valencia’s hierarchy are split over the future of winger Luis Nani, with Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral keen on a sale, say reports in Spain.

According to Plaza Deportiva, the Portugal international is not in the plans of the new manager at the Mestalla who is counting on the loan arrival of his compatriot Goncalo Guedes from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the former Manchester United and Sporting CP winger has a close personal friendship with the club’s owner Peter Lim and has reportedly been assured over his future at the club.

The 30-year-old joined Los Che last summer and reportedly took a significant pay cut in order to leave Fenerbahce while the report concludes the club will not be in a position to move for Arsenal striker Lucas Perez should a buyer not be found for Nani.
