Valencia rule out Garay exit – report

Valencia have ruled out an exit for in-demand central defender Ezequiel Garay following reports of a move away, according to reports in Spain.

A report in Valencia-based Plaza Deportiva states Los Che boss Marcelino Garcia Toral is demanding the club do not sell the former Benfica defender, whom he regards as having a ‘key role’ this campaign.

Following the arrivals of central defensive pair Gabriel Paulista and Jeison Murillo at the Mestalla, reports that the 31-year-old could leave intensified.

However, a metatarsal injury to defender Ruben Vezo has once again strained the options available to Marcelino and is said to have extinguished any possibility of the Argentine leaving the club.

Garay had reportedly attracted the interest of Italian champions Juventus and Russian club Spartak Moscow.
