Preview: Girona-Malaga

Girona will be confident about their chances when they welcome a disjointed Malaga side to Montilivi on Saturday.

Girona boss Pablo Machin on his team’s positive start against Atletico Madrid: “It’s a mirage.

“I liked the good account we gave of ourselves, but it annoys me that we didn’t win.

“Malaga certainly thought they were going to win at home. If we don’t compete well, they’re going to beat us. We have to play like we did against Atletico.”

Malaga boss Michel Gonzalez on new signing Esteban Rolon: “The Coach is dedicated to training the players and we’ll try to get the best out of him so he can contribute like the others.

“I don’t know how he can help the team yet. I know him, I’ve seen him play and I have my opinion about him.

“Argentine football is different to ours and he also comes from the second tier. He’ll show his ability and it’s a big change for him.

“He’s young and what’s happening to [Emanuel] Cecchini will also happen to him. This process of adaptation for him is normal.”
