Guidetti suffers broken collarbone

Celta Vigo striker John Guidetti looks certain to miss the start of the season after sustaining a broken collarbone in his side’s 4-1 friendly win over Roma.

The Swedish striker was felled by former Sevilla defender Federico Fazio in the 17th minute at Estadio Balaidos which resulted in a penalty, but Guidetti was forced to be substituted off in notable discomfort.

The former Manchester City and Celtic striker had been linked with moves to Italy this summer with Udinese and Torino both said to be interested, although this injury appears to have ruled out any potential exit.

It is now yet clear how long Juan Carlos Unzue will be without the striker, who was replaced by new signing Maxi Gomez during the friendly.

Iago Aspas and Pione Sisto both netted doubles for the Galicians in an impressive performance against a largely second-string Roman outfit.
