Espanyol consider N’Diaye move

Espanyol are reportedly considering a move for Villarreal midfielder Alfred N’Diaye, who was made available to other clubs last month.

Cadena Ser state the Senegalese midfielder will leave the Yellow Submarine this summer and is ‘in the orbit’ of the Catalan club, who could make a cut-price move.

The 27-year-old is the only player who the Yellow Submarine are hopeful of moving on from their first-team squad this summer and a proposed move to Malaga fell through earlier this summer.

The former Sunderland midfielder made 13 appearances for Villarreal last season but was signed by Marcelino Garcia Toral and the manager’s replacement Fran Escriba did not see him as part of his plans.

N’Diaye was loaned out to Hull City in January but a permanent move was ruled out following the English club’s relegation.
