Leganes to sign Munoz

Leganes are set to complete the signing of Genoa central defender for a fee in the region of €2.5m, according to reports.

The Argentine defender is set to sign a three-year contract at Butarque according to reports in Sky Sport Italia and Corriere dello Sport.

The 26-year-old has spent the last eight seasons in Italy after joining Palermo from Boca Juniors in 2010, making 184 appearances in Serie A.

Munoz spent four-and-a-half years at Palermo before a loan spell at Sampdoria, before signing for Samp’s city rivals Genoa in 2015.

Making 31 appearances last season, he is the tenth arrival at Leganes this summer in a busy summer which has included the signings of Olympiakos defender Dimitrios Siovas, Granada full-back Tito and Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Eraso.
