Zidane vague on Mbappe talk

Zinedine Zidane has refused to discuss the club’s alleged transfer pursuit of Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe, and did not rule out a star attacking leaving.

Speaking in the midst of the International Champions Cup friendly tournament in the United States, Zidane was coy on the possibility of the 18-year-old joining Los Blancos and one of the ‘BBC’ attack departing.

“I'm the Coach here and you'd have to ask someone else about that (Mbappe transfer),” Zidane told a press conference on Thursday.

“We're working on things and we'll see what happens. We've got the players who are here now and we'll just have to see what happens.

“Let's hope that all of the members of the 'BBC' stay here, I want the 'BBC' to stay put, it's the same for all of the players who are here. That said, up until August 31 anything can happen.”
