Alberto De La Bella is close to returning to Real Sociedad from Olympiakos only halfway through his two-year loan deal, say reports in Spain.
According to Diario AS, the 31-year-old will return to Anoeta this week to replace Yuri Berchiche, who joined Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.
The left-back agreed a two-season loan move to the Greek champions last summer as he did not feature in Coach Eusebio Sacristan’s plans in San Sebastian.
However, Berchiche’s €16m move to PSG has left a vacancy in the club’s first team squad and De La Bella is expected to fill it.
Having spent seven seasons in La Real’s team, making 172 league appearances for the club, the full-back underwhelmed in Greece last season and the club are happy to agree an early termination of his loan.
