Sevilla target Mangala, Badstuber

Sevilla are set to battle Milan for Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala while the Analucians are also considering signing Holger Badstuber, say reports.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Los Rojiblancos are keen on signing at least one – but preferably two – central defenders and believe both fit the profile they are searching for.

Mangala played for Valencia on loan last season, scoring twice in 30 appearances for Los Che and has no future at current club Manchester City, who may seek once more to loan him out.

City would prefer a transfer although links to Paris Saint-Germain have cooled and Milan reportedly are in the race alongside Sevilla for a deal.

Badstuber’s contract at Bayern Munich expires in a year and the club are reportedly keen to sell the 28-year-old after his loan spell at Schalke last season.

Sevilla sporting director Oscar Arias is pondering both options and evaluating the economic costs of any such moves.
