Amat to join Betis from Swans

Real Betis are close to signing Swansea City defender Jordi Amat as they continue their summer rebuild say reports in Spain.

According to ABC de Sevilla, who’s reports have been picked up by Estadio Deportivo, the 25-year-old defender will be announced by Los Verdiblancos this week.

Amat moved to Swansea in 2013 and has made 52 Premier League appearances at the Liberty Stadium, but is reportedly keen on a return to La Liga.

The Barcelona-native spent three years at Espanyol before a year-long stint at Rayo Vallecano preceded his move to the Welsh side.

Betis have completed deals for Sergio Leon, Cristian Tello and Victor Camarasa while are also reportedly close to deals for Antonio Barragan and Andres Guardado, while Roman Zozulya and Jonas Martin are set to leave the club permanently.
