Sevilla are ‘very close’ to an agreement with former Celta Vigo Coach Eduardo Berizzo, who is set to treble his salary, say reports.
According to Estadio Deportivo, Los Rojiblancos are set to treble the salary the Argentine received at Celta in his previous deal to lure him to the Sanchez Pizjuan.
The report states Berizzo will sign a two-year deal with Sevilla, who had prioritised him since becoming aware of Jorge Sampaoli’s desire to leave although negotiations have slowed recently.
Berizzo is now set to earn €600,000 per year, although this figure is said to be linked to the club’s successes and advancements in the Champions League.
The 47-year-old led the Galicians to the last four of last season’s Europa League, whom he coached for three seasons.
