Eibar permanent deal for Yoel

Goalkeeper Yoel Rodriguez has made his loan move to Eibar from Valencia permanent after the Basque club exercised their purchase option.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a successful year-long loan spell at the Ipurua Municipal Stadium, making 25 La Liga appearances, helping his side to a top half La Liga finish.

The transfer fee is reported to be €750k and follows from Pablo Piatti’s permanent departure from Valencia – the Argentine forward has joined Espanyol.

"After Eibar SD exercised the purchase option included in the initial transfer contract, the goalkeeper Yoel Rodriguez has left the club,” read an official Valencia statement.

“Valencia wishes him all the luck in the next stage of his professional career."

The Vigo-native spent six years at Celta Vigo before joining Los Che in 2015 following a loan spell, but only ever made one league start at the Mestalla.
