Jese wants to stay at Las Palmas

Jese Rodriguez would like to stay at Las Palmas next season despite a disappointing loan spell from French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

The 24-year-old spent just six months in the French capital before returning to La Liga in January in a loan deal until the end of the campaign, taking a substantial pay cut to move to his hometown club.

"I don't know what is going to happen in the future, I am a PSG player, it's early days but I would like to remain here although it depends on PSG,” Jese told Canaria en hora, based in Las Palmas.

"Next season would be different. It's not the same to join a team in preseason than midway through a campaign.

"I'm certain I would do a better job as I've been unlucky.

"At the beginning, I didn't score goals with opportunities that I usually don't miss. When I arrived I had been two-and-a-half months without playing and you can feel that.

"Had I scored those goals early on, things would have gone a different way but now I'm ending the season well.

"I think I have given my best and it has been a new experience. I absolutely don't regret coming home. I take with me the good things, the fact that I played at home.

"It hasn't been what I expected and I came here with different aims but I don't regret it."
