Samper set for Grana exit

Granada loanee Sergi Samper appears to have played his last game for the club as the Andalucians no longer wish to pay Barcelona for each match.

El Grana have to pay Barca a set fee for every match the 22-year-old participates in and due to their relegation from the top flight being confirmed, their financial outlook will be refigured.

AS state the midfielder will not play again for Tony Adams side this campaign and on Thursday he played for a Granada B side which featured a number of trialists.

Other players to feature in that match included Franck Tabanou and Panagiotis Kone, on loan from Swansea and Udinese respectively, and their exits from Estadio de los Carmenes also look set to be confirmed imminently.

Samper has started only 13 La Liga fixtures this campaign despite arriving in Andalucia highly regarded following his progression through La Masia youth academy with the Blaugrana.
