A last-gasp winner from Raul Garcia gave Athletic Bilbao a dramatic win at Eibar in the all-Basque clash to strengthen their Europa League qualification chances.
The former Atletico Madrid netted a late, late volley to move Ernesto Valverde’s side into sixth, while Eibar remain eighth and six points adrift of their neighbours.
Midfielder Gonzalo Escalante was sent-off for the hosts following a late lunge on Iker Muniain's knee in the 56th minute and that swung the tie in favour of Athletic.
Top scorer Aritz Aduriz was even substituted off for the visitors with nine minutes remaining but just as the game looked to be destined for a goalless draw, up stepped Garcia.
Benat's initial free kick was kept out by Yoel but defender Ivan Ramis' could only clear straight to the former Atletico maestro, who twisted to volley home a brilliant winner before the Eibar goalkeeper could get back across his line.
