Mbappe at Monaco ‘for one more year’

Former Monaco and Barcelona winger Ludovic Giuly believes striker Kylian Mbappe will stay at the Ligue 1 club ‘for another year’.

The teenage striking sensation has made waves across European football this year leading him to be linked with Real Madrid and Manchester United, but Giuly – representing Monaco at the Champions League draw – is confident he will stay in France for one more season.

"He has a contract with Monaco and he is going to be here for another year,” Giuly explained following the draw for the Champions League semi-finals.

“There has to be complete calmness with him, he has a lot of talent and we are happy with him."

“The semi-final draw? Juventus are a very difficult opponent but all of the teams left in the semi-finals are massive teams.

“We are the smallest team, but we will fight in the two games. We are very happy, they have a great team and we have no experience but we will see how it goes."
