Real Madrid are hoping to soon have an option on Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe with a view to completing his transfer in 2018, reports say.
Marca claim Madrid’s most recent scouting report on the teenager urges Los Blancos to sign Mbappe and the club have already started the procedure, and the deal could be concluded this summer.
Monaco are holding out for a fee in the region of €100m to sell Mbappe outright while Madrid are mulling over if it would be better to make the deal for this summer or to wait until next year.
Mbappe’s preference is said to be to move to Madrid after another year in Ligue 1 with Monaco, while the principality club aren’t under any financial pressure to sell – and if they were, they have other players who would be sacrificed first.
