Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin has warned Theo Hernandez against making a move to cross-city rivals Real Madrid.
Reports in the Spanish press suggest the 19-year-old full-back, currently on loan at Alaves, will move to the Bernabeu this summer with Los Blancos willing to trigger his €24m release clause.
"No Atletico fan would like it if Theo joined Real Madrid instead of another team," Godin is quoted as saying by Marca, after Atleti downed Real Sociedad on Tuesday night.
"I speak for myself, what I would do – he's just a kid and we have to give him our support.
"I heard about what happened through the media and I laughed a bit with Lucas (Theo’s elder brother, also at Atletico). We were laughing because last season when he came to train with us he was always distracted and now everybody wants him.
“People are talking about him because he is having an incredible season.”
