Rami ‘happy at Sevilla’

Sevilla central defender Adil Rami has ruled out a move away from the club amid speculation he could return to his native France to join Marseille.

Now under the ownership of American businessman Frank McCourt, the Ligue 1 side have more spending power in the transfer market and recently made moves for Rami’s international teammates Dimitri Payet and Patrice Evra, but he insists he is happy in Seville.

"Sometimes I think about Marseille because they are starting to rise more and more,” the 31-year-old explained to BeIn Sports, ahead of the Champions League clash with Leicester.

"It all depends on the project.

"Today, I will be honest, it will be complicated because I am very happy in Seville.

"We have managed to make a reputation in Europe, so leaving a club like Sevilla to go to OM, even if I'm very confident in their project, it's hard. And at thirty-one, it is better to be careful."
