Lucho undecided on Barca future

Luis Enrique admits he is undecided on his Barcelona future ahead of Sunday’s clash with Leganes in La Liga but insists the criticism “affects me zero”.

Enrique’s contract with Barca expires at the end of the season, amidst speculation his time at Camp Nou is up after a perceived drop in performance levels this term, but the Coach is ready to rally against “the pessimists”.

“It’s a game to see our response after a difficult situation,” he said at a Press conference.

“I have the game against PSG in my mind and will do every day, but there’s still a month to go and the immediate risk lies in the game [against Leganes].

“A finished cycle? You’ve heard that from the pessimists. For the optimists, we’re alive in three competitions.

“Things are very difficult in one of them, but in the other two we’re very much alive.

“I haven’t made a decision about my future but [the uncertainty] won’t influence our games.

“Busquets and Iniesta’s statements? I take responsibility for my statements. As for the others, I’ll speak to [the players] in the dressing room face to face. I leave the rest to you.

“Suarez? I didn’t hear what he said. I don’t listen to what you [journalists] ever say, so imagine now…

“The criticism? It affects me zero, otherwise I wouldn’t be in this job.

“In order to improve, we need the ball, attacking and defending together, avoiding counterattacks. [These are] things why this team have dominated and that we’ve done for a long time.

“In these months, there’s a tendency to push ourselves more and we haven’t found solutions yet.

“We need more training sessions that we don’t have because of the calendar.”
