Eibar reject Barca Capa bid

Eibar have knocked back Barcelona’s bid for full-back Ander Capa, who the Catalans have tried to sign as an emergency signing after Aleix Vidal’s injury.

AS report the Blaugrana lodged a bid of €2m for the 25-year-old, but the Basques are apparently unwilling to negotiate any fee for the defender, although he does have a release clause in his contract of €10m.

Barca are eager to sign a replacement for Vidal – who will miss the five months of action due to injury – with Sergi Roberto the only member of the first-team squad to fill the right-back position.

The same reports continue that Luis Enrique’s side are keen for any deal to be short-term as they aim to invest heavily in the position in the summer.

Malaga’s Roberto Rosales and Deportivo’s Juanfran have also been linked to moves to the Camp Nou – any moves would allow the new signings to play domestically but not in European competition.
