Lazio captain Lucas Biglia could be set for a move to Spain after rejecting a contract extension at the Serie A side, say reports.

La República report the Argentine midfielder will not renew his deal in the Italian capital with Celta Vigo, Sevilla, Valencia and Atletico Madrid the clubs in Spain who are looking to take advantage, say AS.

Biglia could become a free agent in the summer should he not sign a new deal and Diego Simeone is reportedly a long-term admirer of his compatriot for his defensive ability and positional awareness in the holding midfield role, while Atalanta are also thought to want a move for the former Anderlecht midfielder.

Starting his career at Argentinos Juniors, the 30-year-old has since played for Independiente and Anderlecht before a move to Lazio in 2013, where he has since made 111 appearances.
