Illarra: We were robbed again

A furious Asier Illarramendi blasted the officials during Thursday’s Copa del Rey semi final for not sending off Lionel Messi and giving decisions against his side.

The Argentine saw yellow in the first half for time-wasting over the taking of a free-kick and the former Real Madrid midfielder believes he should then have been sent-off for obstructing the taking of a quick La Real free-kick in the second – Messi has not been sent-off since his debut for Argentina in 2005.

"The offside against Zurutuza is not offside and Messi… that's always been a yellow-card offense," Illarramendi said after the game.

"If he'd been wearing another shirt he would have been sent off. But whatever, we have to pick ourselves up."

The 26-year also referred to the goal which was ruled out for the Basque side when the two met in November’s La Liga encounter by adding: “They've already robbed us in La Liga."
