Griezmann: Madrid clubs have a pact

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has revealed there is a pact between his club and Real Madrid not to sign players from each other.

The 25-year-old ruled out the possibility of him joining Los Blancos and also stated the only leagues he was interested in playing in would be La Liga or the English Premier League.

"It's true that I love to win titles…but I couldn't go to Real Madrid, not with the rivalry that exists and there's also a pact between the clubs," Griezmann explained in an interview with Telefoot.

"Right now I feel great at Atletico, my goal is not to leave Atletico immediately.

"PSG are an interesting team but I don't want to play in Ligue 1, I prefer it here in Spain or in the Premier League."

Having joined Los Rojiblancos from Real Sociedad in 2014, Griezmann has developed into one of the best players in the world and has been regularly linked with a move to Manchester United, rumours which he fuelled by stating he wants to play alongside Paul Pogba at club level earlier this month.
