Leganes dealt triple injury blow

Leganes have been dealt a cruel triple injury blow with Robert Ibanez, Alexander Syzmanowski and Diego Rico all ruled out for long spells.

Ibanez, on loan from Valencia, is expected to miss the rest of the campaign after rupturing the cruciate ligament in his knee in Monday night's 2-0 victory over Osasuna – in which he netted both goals.

Another injury sustained in that match was full-back Diego Rico – a summer signing from Zaragoza – who is now thought to be out for between three and four months due to a leg injury in the encounter.

There is also concern surrounding Szymanowski, who was substituted off at half-time, who has suffered damage to his knee which is expected to sideline hiim until 2017.

Adrian Marin has also picked up a knock in training and along with the long-term absence of Mamadou Kone, ensures Leganes only have 18 fit first-team squad players for their trip to Espanyol on Saturday.
