Escriba keeping faith

Villarreal boss Fran Escriba is keeping faith in his team’s system but admits he may make some personnel changes for Thursday’s clash with Osmanlispor.

The Yellow Submarine suffered their first league defeat of the season on Sunday as they fell to a 2-1 loss at Eibar, but the 51-year-old is confident his side will regain their form quickly.

"We're coming from a defeat, but this can't change our style as a team. We know we can't give away the ball,” explained Escriba.

"I feel just as calm with whatever changes I make. All my players are of the top level.

“I don't want the pattern from the first leg to be repeated; I want the team to play like the second half.

"Everyone knows it's a tough match because they saw the 1st leg. And I think our fans know that we need it.

“Alexandre Pato is ready and available and it's great news to have him back as he was key in the first leg."
