Vitolo concedes ‘MSN’ are “beasts of football” but is confident Sevilla have what it took to stop Barcelona in Sunday’s Copa del Rey final.
Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar fired Barca to a second straight Primera title in 2015-16 and will spearhead the side’s quest for another double at the Vicente Calderon, but Vitolo insists Sevilla’s defence can shut out the trident attack.
“We’re eager. We face great opponents and it’ll be difficult, but anything can happen in one game,” the winger said at a Press conference.
“There was a significant effort [on Thursday], but another trophy is at stake and we’re going for it.
“In the European Super Cup, we were equal to them and lost by small details, but we’ve learnt from that game and we’ll try to win.
“The fans are very excited and we won’t give up until the end. We’re going [to the Calderon] to win, and hopefully we can bring happiness to many sevillistas.
“There have been many games this season, but our enthusiasm and desire to win another trophy remains intact.
“[Barca] have quality players, but we’ll try to stop them by all means.
“They know we’re a good team, so I’m sure it’ll be a great match [on Sunday]
“MSN are beasts of football, but we have a good defence.”
