Rayo Vallecano Coach Paco Jemez has called a Press conference for Wednesday, but neither his club nor his agent know why.
AS cites Cope as reporting the invitation to the media and there’s speculation Jemez could make an announcement regarding his future, be that a decision to stay at Vallecas or an intention to leave at the end of the season.
Rayo are in danger of relegation with one round of Primera fixtures to play as they need to beat already-relegated Levante and hope Sporting Gijon and Getafe lose, their rivals at home to Villarreal and away to Real Betis respectively.
It’s suggested that if Jemez does make an announcement over his future it will be that he would like to stay, regardless of the division Rayo are in next summer, as the club have only been waiting on his agreement regarding a new contract.
Another option is that Jemez wants to speak to the fans to rally support ahead of the crucial Sunday fixtures.
