‘Sevilla hungry for trophies’

Adil Rami sees a ‘hungry’ Sevilla ahead of the Europa League semi-final second leg with Shakhtar Donetsk.

The tie is level at 2-2 from the first leg in Ukraine, giving Sevilla an advantage if away goals come into play, but Rami told a pre-match Press conference that the team is working hard regardless.

“We’re working hard and we’re very focused. We know the opportunity we have so we have to be 100%. We have to live it. It’s something different, of course, because we’re aware we can make history. We know that 95% won’t be enough,” the defender cautioned, AS reports.

“We’ve done a great job [on Shakhtar]. We know them well. We have great respect for them because they are used to playing games at this level. They’re quick on the counter-attack and it will be very difficult. Let’s play our game and we’ll give everything to win.

“We are very serious and we compete well. That’s important. Sevilla are hungry for trophies and I’m grateful for the opportunity to dream. We know we have supporters at a high level. They’re the best I’ve seen in my career and I’m not surprised the stadium will be full, it’s not the first time.”
