Merino: Betis’ hardest game

Juan Merino believes Real Betis will have their work cut out when they host Granada in “the most difficult game of our run” on Sunday.

A five-match unbeaten run, consisting of two wins and three draws, including a 3-0 midweek win at Espanyol, has moved the Andalusians five points clear of the relegation zone in La Liga, but the Coach is equally aware that his side’s next opponents have won both of their games under new boss Jose Gonzalez.

“We’ve gone five games picking up points, but this is the most difficult game of our run because our opponents have won their last two games under their new Coach,” he said at a Press conference.

“The team are transmitting good feelings, so I’m confident we’ll be at our best to win and stay close to our goal of staying up, which will need around 40 points or more.”
