Enrique unconcerned by penalty misses

Luis Enrique insisted he was “worrying very little” about Barcelona’s missed penalties after another from Luis Suarez on Thursday against Rayo Vallecano.

The Catalans set a new Spanish record of 35 games unbeaten as Lionel Messi’s hat-trick, plus goals from Ivan Rakitic and Arda Turan, restored the side’s eight-point lead top La Liga in a 5-1 victory, but their performance was marred by a ninth missed spot-kick of the season.

“We knew the difficulty of creating play against Rayo, but the result was never in danger,” the Coach said after the game.

“Now begins the most beautiful spell of the season, which will leave us where we want or deserve to be.

“The movement of our attackers and Claudio [Bravo] with his distribution was key.

“We’ve not been successful on penalties lately, but it’s something which worries me very little.”
