Footage has emerged of Valencia pair Diego Alves and Ruben Vezo almost trading blows in training after Sunday’s 3-0 home defeat to Athletic Bilbao.
According to Onda Deportivo, the goalkeeper and defender squared up to one another on Monday morning and had to be separated by various members of Los Che’s playing and coaching staff.
The incident comes in the wake of Valencia’s loss to Athletic at Mestalla, which ended Gary Neville’s recent resurgence of four straight wins and has seemingly brought tension back to the club.
Neville has a shot at redemption on Wednesday, when Valencia travel to Malaga in La Liga, although it remains to be seen whether the Portuguese speakers will be called upon.
