Adil Rami understands why onlookers consider Sevilla to already be in the Copa del Rey Final but insists the team ‘still has to fight.’
Sevilla dispatched Celta Vigo 4-0 in the first leg at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and, barring an extraordinary comeback at Balaidos, will meet Barcelona, 7-0 winners over Valencia, in the showpiece.
“You have the right to talk about the Final, but we just think about playing the semi-final,” Estadio Deportivo quotes Rami as telling Sevilla’s official website.
“In football you have to have a lot of respect and we have to fight again before thinking of the Final. Celta are a great team and we’ll fight and play with respect.
“I think we can achieve everything we’re able to, the semi-final, the trophy, there’s no limit, I think, with this great team, great Coach and players.”
