Real Betis have finally completed the signing of Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao on a contract until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old’s move to Los Verdiblancos appeared to have collapsed due to institutional problems at the club, but the subsequent departure of Juan Ollero as President and appointment of two new CEOs has facilitated the deal to be pushed through.
Damiao, who arrives on a free transfer after leaving Santos in December, passed a medical on Tuesday and is Juan Merino’s immediate disposal.
