Marcelino wary of Granada threat

Marcelino has urged Villarreal to be “very attentive to our defensive duties” when they host Granada in La Liga on Saturday.

The Yellow Submarine have won only one their last five games, with their lead over Celta Vigo in fourth cut to seven points after back-to-back draws in the League, but the Coach feels his side have been reenergised by their midweek break.

“A winning team win both home and away,” he said at a Press conference.

“We always go for the win and that’s what we always try.

“Now we play against Granada and we want to win.

“[On losing just once at home this season], it doesn’t make things any easier.

“We’re fresher for not playing midweek and we used the time off for correcting things in our game.

“[On ups and downs this season], it’s impossible for the team to always maintain a high tempo.

“[Granada] are very good on the counterattack.

“They have dangerous players going forward, so we must be very attentive to our defensive duties.”
