Unai Emery insists Sevilla will respect Copa del Rey opponents Mirandes as the Segunda side have already eliminated two Primera teams.
Mirandes dispatched Malaga and Deportivo La Coruna, as well as Real Oviedo, to reach the quarter-finals, with Emery speaking to the Press about the tie.
“The first thing is respect based on our experience and the way our opponent have been in the Cup,” he said, AS reports.
“They’ve eliminated Oviedo and then two La Liga teams, Malaga, winning twice, and winning 3-0 against Deportivo at Riazor.
“We have a good opportunity but we have to do the right things to make it difficult for Mirandes.
“Carlos Terrazas trained me for 15 days at Burgos…he’s a Coach who brings a lot to his teams, his experience, and it won’t be easy.
“There are 180 minutes and nothing should be ruled out. The ultimate goal is to win and get a clean sheet, which would give us a guarantee for the return.”
Emery was also asked about a transfer rumour linking Sevilla with Eibar winger Keko, but replied only in general terms.
“While the market is open the club works and we can’t rule anything out. If someone comes to help its because we believe they have features that improve the team,” he remarked.
“But my goal and my dream is to raise the performance of the squad I have. If someone comes, they’ll be included in the demands we have.”
