Pepe Mel has revealed that his wish for 2016 is Real Betis avoiding relegation from La Liga this season ahead of Sunday’s match against Eibar.
Los Verdiblancos have failed to win any of their last four games, a run which has seen them fall nearer to the bottom places, but the Coach believes his side are still on course for a successful campaign.
“For 2016, I hope we’re still in La Liga in May,” he said at a Press conference.
“If we have a good January, things will be easier. In between, we hope to have an exciting run in the Copa [del Rey], in which we hope to do well.
“We face Eibar at 100 percent because we believe it’s a very important game for us.
“They’re in the top half of the table, so getting the three points is very important.
“Away from home, they’ve done very well and only lost a few points, so our attention can only be on this game.”
