Javi Gracia urged Malaga to be “demanding” and “ask questions” of Rayo Vallecano in Sunday’s early La Liga kick-off.
The Andalucians are currently second from bottom and without a win since October, a slump worsened by issues behind the scenes, but the Coach is confident his side are “prepared” for the trip to Vallecas.
“We need wins, so we must play at a high level [against Rayo],” he said at a Press conference.
“We must ask questions of Rayo because they’re where we want to be at the moment [out of the relegation zone].
“We’re playing against a team with a defined style, who force you to do many things [out of your comfort zone].
“We must only demand the maximum of ourselves because if we don’t then we’ll get nothing positive, and Rayo are a team who demand the maximum of their opponents from start to finish, but we’re prepared for that.”
