Imanol Agirretxe refused to take the plaudits for Real Sociedad’s 2-1 win against Eibar on Sunday as “these three points allow us to start looking up the table”.
The striker moved to double digits for the season thanks to his match-winning brace against Los Armeros, but he preferred to discuss his goals in the context of his side’s campaign.
“We’re very happy,” he said after the game.
“It was very important to get our second home win after the bad start to the season.
“The first half was tight, but we played better in the second half, created more chances and moved the ball quicker.
“These three points allow us to start looking up the table.”
