Rayo Vallecano forward Lass Bangoura and Coach Paco Jemez had to be kept apart by Vallecas security during the club’s Copa del Rey win over Getafe.
Lass scored the opening goal of the 2-0 win but took exception to being substituted, making clear his unhappiness at Jemez’s decision.
Jemez responded by telling Lass to leave the bench and when Lass replied, tempers flared and the stewards had to step in to separate the pair.
“It was an issue between Lass and myself. It’s already solved by the way,” Jemez said after the match, according to Rayo’s official site.
“It’s not something remarkable. It could have been avoided. The important thing is it won’t happen again. We’ve talked and there’s not a problem.”
