Rafinha pens new Barca deal

Barcelona have announced that Rafinha has agreed to extend his contract with the club until 2020.

As reported on La Blaugrana’s official website, the Brazilian midfielder will put pen to paper for the next five years imminently and has agreed a buyout clause of €75m.

Rafinha never appeared close to departing Camp Nou, despite his previous deal due to expire in the summer, with Luis Enrique promoting him to the first team in one of his first tasks as Barca Coach.

The Catalans, meanwhile, have underlined their faith in a player who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ACL tear.
