Adil Rami believes Sevilla are about to come up against ‘one of the best teams in the world’ in Manchester City.
The defender appeared before the media to preview the Champions League fixture and argued that even without David Silva and Sergio Aguero, the Premier League side are a team to fear.
“We know they’re one of the best teams in the world, with the best attack in Europe at the moment,” Rami said, AS reports.
“We’re humble, but we have our weapons. As I said before, we’re playing Manchester City [not Aguero or Silva]. It’s better that they’re not here but [Wilfried Bony] and the others are very strong.”
Rami recently returned from a spell on the sidelines and discussed what it was like watching on from afar, and what it will mean for Sevilla to face old boy Jesus Navas.
“Of course I have wanted to compete. I’m very lucky to be here and to play a Champions League match. Playing in the Champions League is a dream for any player in the world,” the former Valencia man said.
“With all due respect, no one has spoken to me about Navas. It’s very nice but nobody has talked to me about him. Sorry…”
